Elephant Ears!

Last time I went to a fair, I didn't get a chance to eat a Funnel Cake (Elephant Ear), so I decided to try and make my own! They turned out to be really good! Nothing is as good as the real thing, but this comes in a close second place. Here is the recipe I found (thanks, Pinterest). It was really easy, and the entire process only took about 15 minutes. I had a lot of fun with these. And yum! We covered them in melted butter, cinnamon sugar and powdered sugar. I will definitely be making these again soon! Thanks to Suzanne McMinn at Chickens In The Road for sharing the story and recipe.
Here's what you need to remember: If the oil is too hot, they burn really quickly. Also, as the recipe states, you need at least an inch of oil in the pan. I tried it with less, and they stuck to the bottom of the pan and burned. Yuck! So, the more oil you have in the pan, the better. Other than that, if you follow the steps, they should turn out quite nicely! Enjoy! ~H
